HOLIDAYS ARE FOR CHILDREN . . .

Look through the Time-Scope to see what childhood was like back in 1933's short-subject, Forgotten Babies. How many instances of child-endangerment, political incorrectness and other modern non-nos can you spot in this rare still? (c) Hal Roach/MGM

Saying ‘….the Holidays are all about the kids….’ is somewhat of a seasonal cliche. But in many way’s it’s true! To celebrate the approaching holiday festivities, lets give a shout out to the cinema’s most famous children, The Little Rascals!

The rare scene from the 1933 series installment, Forgotten Babies, features Spanky McFarland, right, who gets stuck babysitting a brood of young-‘uns while the rest of the gang goes fishing. Hilarity ensues.

These children were amazing actors! Although this short is 80 years old, i have a hunch we’ll still be enjoying them in another eight decades! What do you think?
