Artist Bernie Wrightson is recovering from a series of ‘small’ strokes that has left the award-winning draftsman hospitalized.

Wrightson burst upon the comic-book scene in the late 1960s where his work for DC’s horror and mystery titles made him an overnight superstar. With writer Len Wein he co-created the famous ‘Swamp Thing’ character.

Sources close to the artist say that Wrightson is resting comfortably and has undergone a battery of tests to assess his condition. He remains congizant of his surroundings and is engaged with friends and hospital staff.

Everyone here at the Funhouse wishes the talented creator a speedy recovery!
